Atlantis Condominiums

Miami, Florida, United States

The 20-story luxury condominium in Miami was built between 1980-1982 and designed by the architectural firm Arquitectonica. The building is recognized for its glass facade and primary color scheme and the 5-story palm court which is cut out of the building. The palm court features a red spiral staircase, jacuzzi, and palm trees, and contains 96 condo units.

Arquitectonica was an upstart firm when Atlantis was designed, and is now a global architectural firm with almost 200 staff and offices worldwide. Its founding partners, Laurinda Spear and Bernardo Fort-Brescia continue the postmodernist style that blends functionalism with an emphasis on color, and their designs span a broad range of building types.
